YOU GOT THIS***

I spoke too soon…
Just when I thought life couldn’t throw any more hurdles at me and I’d finally gotten past the worst of it, along comes another hill to climb. Its funny how things work really, I use to struggle with setbacks and tough times, thinking only of the worst outcomes, making mountains out of molehills. It was only recently my mother reminded me that sometimes these hurdles can be a reminder to slow down, a reminder that we haven’t yet faced our past to move forward or learned the lessons we are supposed to. I think my lessons have come in the most uncomfortable ways. This past week I’ve had to face a lot of hard truths and a lot of darkness. It’s during these most uncomfortable periods of darkness that growth happens, and we continue to become a better and stronger version of ourselves.
This week honestly felt like the universe was testing myself and my partner in the most destructive of ways. If it wasn’t for our amazing ability to communicate and determination to persist with our goals and future passions, as well as the love we have for each other, we would be a mess and at each other’s throats right now.
I find it’s during these dark periods in life that often people give up, go their separate ways with the hopes that something bigger and better will come up, which is really sad… Imagine you work so hard to build something with someone and then over a period of tough times, or one tough moment in life, you cave to the darkness and give up on what you were so close to achieving and even spent years investing into. (This excludes toxic and narcissistic individuals, definitely leave these types…)
I strongly believe that these tough times were put here to test us, to see If we will break and give up. Well… I’m not going to let the darkness win and take away something that could be so beautiful. Social media will also tell you there is bigger and better, but I’m here to tell there isn’t. No matter who you have in your life, there will always be battles you have to face together, there will always be tough periods in life, it’s just whether you are able to brave through the storm and see the light at the end of the tunnel (Quoted by mama bear). Relationships are so precious now, they need to be nurtured, they need time, patience, love and support. If given enough support, love and communication, I guarantee any couple can make it through, sometimes you just have to be reminded that “You Got This…”
